Potoro

Potoro was established in 2014 after its owner perfected his hand in the well-established Poquito Spanish Bar in Kyoto. Using locally produced vegetables and beef among other regional products, Potoro offers Spanish cuisine adapted to Japanese taste. Delicacies include the jamón ibérico de bellota, one of the finest cured ham in the world, with its smoky fragrance, or the Paeje espana, a paella dish, rich and bursting with shrimp flavors. Tapas are offered mostly under 1000 yen. With official certification as a sommelier, the owner proposes an hand-picked selection of wines, and a home-made sangria full of seasonal fruits.
